On 11 April 2024, the CH-47F Chinook and H225M Caracal helicopter squadrons of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) achieved Full Operational Capability (FOC).

Based respectively at Sembawang Air Base and Oakey, Queensland, Australia, these units transitioned to the latest versions of the heavy transport and tactical transport helicopters.

At Sembawang, 125 Squadron Starling transitioned from the AS332M1 Super Puma and AS532UL Cougar to the H225M Caracal, and 127 Squadron Prancing Horse added the CH-47F Chinook to a limited number of CH-47SD still in use.

At Oakey, 126 Squadron Cougar transitioned from the AS332M1 and AS532UL to the H225M, and 127 Squadron (Detachment) transitioned from the CH-47SD to the CH-47F.

Full Operational Capability (FOC) marks the completion of a development effort, typically following an Initial Operational Capability (IOC) phase. According to Dr. Ng Eng Hen, the Minister for Defence, "FOC is a testament to the hard work of the airmen and women from 125, 126, and 127 squadrons, as well as our Oakey Detachment in Australia, highlighting strong cross-Service integration with the Singapore Army and Republic of Singapore Navy, along with operational-technology integration with the DSTA Defence Science and Technology Agency."
