“It is with a heavy heart that we bring you unexpected news: the F-16 Solo Display Team is reluctantly saying goodbye. Sadly, we must announce the bittersweet conclusion to our incredible two-year journey,” the Dream Viper Team wrote on their social media chanels.

“After a wonderful season in 2023, we will not renew the F-16 Solo Display in 2024. In fact, we have actively started our transition to the F-35, our F-16s are gradually being retired as they reach the end of their potential and our recent contribution to the training of Ukrainian pilots is also consuming the majority of our resources. We are prioritizing training our fighter pilots, meeting our operational commitments and making the transition to the F-35A.”

“We are very grateful for the work of our last F-16 demonstration pilot, Pilot Commander Steven 'Vrieske' De Vries. Over the past two seasons he has been a fantastic ambassador for the Air Force with his 'Dream Viper'.”
